“Whatever has the nature of arising has the nature of ceasing.”

The Buddha

We all face ups and downs in life. Just like right now, we are all fighting with the covid-19. Many families and businesses around the world are facing financial crisis because they have lost incomes due to this pandemic situation. When I came across this Buddha’s quote, I really wanted to share immediately with everyone who needs to see this. I know that you’re struggling. However, remember this hardship won’t last. Therefore, no matter what, life must go on. If you’re feeling down, remember you’re not alone. Everyone else around the world, including me is with you.

The Buddha’s quote I’m about to share with you is “whatever has the nature of arising has the nature of ceasing.” A great example of this is the sun. The sun rises in the morning and sets in the afternoon. Another example is the moon rises at night and will disappear in the morning. What’s more, looking back to the spring of 2009, a novel influenza A (H1N1) virus emerged. According to CDC, from April 12, 2009 to April 10, 2010, around 60.8 million cases (range: 43.3-89.3 million), 274,304 hospitalizations (range: 195,086-402,719), and 12,469 deaths (range: 8868-18,306) in the United States due to the (H1N1)pdm09 virus. Then, on August 10, 2010, WHO declared an end to the global 2009 H1N1 influenza pandemic.

This indicates that a problem has its time to rise and cease as well. It is just a matter of time. Each problem is different, so it has different timing to be resolved. Be it a problem at your workplace, in your family, or the world, remember that some day it will be gone. The experience will enlighten us about life, making us stronger and wiser from time to time.

  • No matter how hard your life is right now, you need to move on.
  • The rise of a problem is sometimes not really a problem, but a sign to tell you that something new will happen or exist.
  • If you face many problems, just do your best and resolve it step by step. After that, leave the rests to God.
